A book of short quizzes and answers meant to provide an introduction to two-hundred people from a broad range of fields who, within the last hundred years or so, have made an impact on modern culture but whose name and achievements may be little known by the general public.

No, not of the Kardashians, or the latest pop sensation, nor modern pop culture. But of major figures from the last 100 - 150 years. Physicists, philosophers, psychologists, artists, chemists, architects and more that either set the trends or standards for our modern era, or achieved some particular status in their field.Each section starts with ten multiple choice questions. You are given a name and four choices on what this person was. Then follows the answers with a short biographical sketch. The book itself is broken into groups of these sections in review quizes which reverses the process. A short description and you have to guess the person with no multiple choice. In the answer section of the review each answer is followed by a notable quote from that figure.
Don't look for easy answers. The enjoyable part of the book is how hard it is. I averaged about 2 to 3 correct answers throughout the book: in one chapter I got no correct answers. The only downside, I guess, is that they are short biographical sketches. But, hey, this is the information age; if one of the figures grabs your interest, go research them!
